Introducing our first ever ally-spotlight Wayson Josue with the Waianae Mountains Watershed Partnership! His work involves conserving and protecting native Hawaiian plants to ensure a healthy watershed from mauka to makai. "Getting rid of invasive species that lower the biodiversity of leeward forests. Building fence to keep feral ungulates away from endangered/threatened species." 

Supporting women in science is important because science makes the world run, and so do women! "It's important to me because I want the same opportunities for the women in my life as I do. Often, my female peers are smarter and harder working than their male counterparts."

Wayson likes learning and sharing about Hawaiian history/culture, and tasting things in the forest, cause everything is edible at least once.
